Istituto Biologico Chemioterapico originates from the merging of ABC FARMACEUTICI (founded in 1925) and UNIBIOS (founded in 1948).

ABC Farmaceutici is involved in the production of finished pharmaceuticals, with Specialization in the gastroenterological, broncho-pneumological and gynaecological fields, mainly with oral liquid and semi-solid forms.

Unibios started as a manufacturer of biological products, specialized in the processing of animal glands and the extraction of enzymes for the pharmaceutical industry. Over the years, Unibios has widened its range of activities to include pharmaceutical active principle by total synthesis, particularly antiviral and antibacterial substances.
